Are you committed to excellent feminine hygiene?

No matter what age you are or what you like to do with your genitals, keeping them healthy is a serious matter.

3 Simple ways to keep the most essential part of your anatomy healthy.

1. Choose what is kind to you

Shopping for panties is usually an exciting activity, but your Lady parts will start screaming if you don’t give it a chance to breathe. In fact, avoid nylon and rather wear cotton.

While cotton allows your lady parts to breathe, nylon encourages them to sweat and retains fluids against the skin. Water retention is fantastic when you’re out swimming, but it’s probably safe to assume you’re not submerged beneath water most of the time.

Nylon could lead to candidiasis – aka thrush. In contrast, cotton lets you breathe, reduces sweat, and therefore provides less room for bacteria to form and proliferate. Not only do you feel comfier, your vulva breathes.

2. Nail your wiping technique

You’ve been wiping after going to the toilet for years, so it’s fair to assume you’re a pro. Right? Or maybe not…

Cystitis often crops up because of bacteria that live in the colon making its way to the urethra – the hole you pee through. Since it doesn’t belong there, it can cause UTIs.

one of the easiest ways to avoid this is to wipe from top to bottom, not bottom to top. If you’re already doing this, then you’re a pro. If not, now’s the time to make the change and follow this new technique!

3. Avoid Soap for pH balance:

If you want to keep everything fresh, avoid soaps. Yes, that’s right, steer clear from soap. Certain soaps disrupt your vaginal pH and it washes away the ‘friendly’ bacteria called lactobacilli. As lactobacilli in part exist to combat any bad invaders such as staph aureus, you need to keep them happy.

So what do you use? Water. Its neutral pH lends itself well to keeping lactobacilli happy, which in turn keeps your vagina healthy.

You know this list can’t be complete without me talking about water. Drinking plenty of water is good for more than just your skin.

I know you have heard it a lot.

  • Drinking lots of water helps cleans your system.
  • Drinking lots of water helps elimination of odour.
  • It helps keeps everything fresh.
